SEMC sold its manufacturing license to ETC in 2000. SEMC is now the leading Direct Broadcast Satellite service company in Egypt. It installs and maintains DBS systems and distribution networks for large residential and commercial enterprises. It also acts as a distributing company for DBS broadcasters in Egypt. SEMC installed tens of thousands DBS systems over the last three years including systems for 11,000 schools.
